Waldy and I finally got a chance to hike up to Bertha Falls thru the burnt forest. It was quite devastating to see the damage the wildfire of 2017 did to our park. We could see for miles where the forest had hidden that ability. The look-out area was completely flattened. The park officials did an extensive clean-up to make it safe for hikers.

Yes, it’s sad what has happened. I noticed quite a bit of new growth and with some kind of reforestation, someday you’ll have a new forested park [may take a few years]. Is that the campsite where we stayed a few years back? Thanks for sharing.
