George, Barry, Leona, Waldy, & Marlene finally hiked up to Vimy Peak. Instead of walking in the 6.5km from Chief Mountain Highway, we kayaked across the lake (see map). The whole hike was about 11.5km. Waldy & Barry made it to the top. In retrospect we should have done this hike a few years ago. With all our age related aches and pains, it was not an easy hike but well worth it.
