Our good friends from Calgary came down for their annual visit, first to us, then camping in Waterton. Waldy treated them to 2 German dinners, they were delicious. We did a nice walk along the path in Cardston to the golf course, saw a Great Horned Owl and bear scat. We joined them in Waterton and hiked up to Blackiston Falls. We had to take a 1km detour, and wade through the stream because of construction on all of the bridges. It was actually refreshing as it was a hot day (28c). The satellite map of Blackiston hike still doesn’t show the wildfire damage from 2017.We were amazed at the number of lodgepole pine trees that are growing there.
