Back in 2007, when we moved here, we went for a drive on Township Rd 10 which goes to Immigration Gap. There was an old homestead there still standing (1st photo). When we walked there on November 29, the 2nd floor and roof had been blown off, probably during those strong winds we’ve had recently. (We walked a total of 6.1km. It’s just over 6km from our home to the Canada/USA border.)

This homestead was originally owned by Nathan Nelson Lowry. It was a mail order house from Eatons. I didn’t know they built prefab homes back then.
